This was the start of a pretty fucking epic Family Night/Easter. Here are my boys with Turisas. I didn’t really get any pictures of me and Turisas because I was too busy getting the boys pictures and make sure that Nanda had a great time meeting and chatting with them.  I do have to tell you that every single one of the guys in Turisas is nicer and more welcoming than you can imagine.  

The music line up was awesome. Aether Realm opened. Then Huntress was great. Sadly, I missed seeing  most of Arkona because I was drinking with Eric and Carl from Huntress and Danny from Alestorm.  Then Alestorm was awesome! And of course, Turisas was just epic as I had hoped. They played an awesome show and had a great time doing it. I love seeing the band joke around with each other and the audience and have fun on stage.  

After Turisas’ set, Robert (the only Swede in Turisas) came over to the stage to say goodnight to me from the stage and handed me a playlist. Robert then singling Torgny out in the crowd and yelled goodbye to him in Swedish. 

Then we stayed a long time after the show hanging out with Alestorm and chatting in the parking lot.  Nanda got to spend some time hanging out and talking with one of his favorite bands and meeting them as real people.  Then we heading over to Waffle House with Chris and Stein (from Alestorm) and some other people we met at the show. We were out goofing off in the parking lot until 3am. 

Our family nights are the best.
